Questions

Do I need an app?

No — and neither does the person you hand the card to. Tapping opens a web page. If their phone has no NFC, the QR code on the back does the same thing.

Which phones work?

Every NFC Android, and iPhone XS or newer, which read NFC tags without any setup. Older iPhones need the QR code, which is why every card has one printed on it.

What happens when I change job?

Edit your profile. Every card already handed out shows the new details on the next tap — that is the whole point of the chip pointing at a page rather than storing your details on itself.

Is my data safe if I lose the card?

The card holds a web address and nothing else. No contacts, no passwords, nothing readable off the chip. Report it lost and the address stops working immediately.

Where is my data stored?

On a server in Bangladesh, peered to BDIX. Private fields are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are written, so a stolen database backup does not reveal them.

Is there a monthly fee?

No. You pay once for the card. Hosting the profile is included, and there is no per-user subscription.

Can our HR system push staff automatically?

Yes, on Business and above. There is a documented REST API and outbound webhooks, with an OpenAPI schema and ready-made Python and TypeScript clients.

Can we run it on our own servers?

Yes — that is the Self-Hosted package. You get the application on your own infrastructure, your own domain, and your data never leaves your network. It is the answer for banks, government and anyone with a data residency requirement.

How long does an order take?

Usually three to five working days for a standard order. A large corporate batch is quoted with a date when we scope it.

What if a card arrives faulty?

We replace it. Every card is read back after encoding, so this is rare, but a dead chip is our problem and not yours.
